Support for Parents of Emotionally Intense Kids
Because raising a sensitive or struggling child is no small feat.

Parenting is never simple—but when your child is anxious, emotionally intense, or dealing with depression or big behavior swings, it can feel downright overwhelming. You might find yourself constantly walking on eggshells, second-guessing every response, and wondering why nothing you try seems to make things better.

My work supports parents of children age 6 and up, particularly those raising kids with strong emotions, high sensitivity, or behavioral challenges. This isn’t about sticker charts, time-outs, or bedtime battles—it’s about navigating the real, layered challenges of parenting a child who feels everything deeply.

I draw on The Nurtured Heart Approach®, along with two decades of experience working with kids, teens, and families. This framework helps you strengthen your child’s sense of self, reduce negative behaviors, and build more calm and connection in your home—without relying on harsh consequences or traditional discipline methods that often backfire with intense kids.

Areas I often support parents with include:
-
Parenting children with anxiety, depression, or emotional intensity
-
Responding effectively to big emotions and meltdowns
-
Building stronger communication and connection
-
Reducing conflict, yelling, and power struggles
-
Creating boundaries that are clear and compassionate
-
Letting go of guilt and self-doubt
-
Finding strategies that actually fit your child’s temperament and needs
My approach isn’t rigid, clinical, or one-size-fits-all. It’s honest, thoughtful, and practical—designed to help you feel more confident, calm, and connected as a parent.

Whether you're seeking support in person in Poulsbo or online throughout Washington, I’m here to walk alongside you as you navigate the complexity of parenting an emotionally intense child—with more clarity, less guilt, and tools that actually work.
