Being a mom can be beautiful—and exhausting. Between the endless decisions, the emotional ups and downs of kids, and the invisible mental load, it’s easy to lose sight of yourself.

 

I help moms who are anxious, overwhelmed, or simply stretched too thin find steadier ground. Together, we’ll work on untangling stress, improving your mood, and building the kind of balance that actually feels doable.

I offer in-person therapy sessions in Poulsbo and online across Washington.

Therapy Designed for Moms—By a Mom

I bring over 20 years of experience as a licensed therapist, parent coach, and mom myself. In our sessions, we’ll look at what’s really going on beneath the stress—patterns of self-criticism, perfectionism, anxiety, or people-pleasing—and help you rebuild from a place of self-worth instead of exhaustion.

Depending on your needs, therapy can include:

  • Managing anxiety and overwhelm

  • Reconnecting to your identity beyond motherhood

  • Easing perfectionism and the pressure to do it all “right”

  • Improving communication with your kids or partner

  • Support through life transitions (return to work, perimenopause, empty nesting, etc.)

  • EMDR or mindfulness-based tools for deeper healing

Motherhood doesn’t happen in isolation—and neither should your support. My background as a child and teen therapist shapes everything I do with moms. Together, we can look at both your inner world and your child’s needs—so you feel more grounded and confident in both roles.

In our sessions, we might:

  • Explore what’s driving your stress, anxiety, or reactivity

  • Understand your child or teen’s behavior through a developmental lens

  • Talk through what to say (and what not to say) when emotions run high

  • Find practical ways to strengthen connection instead of relying on rewards, punishments, or power struggles
     

My approach isn’t about “carrots or sticks.” It’s about helping you see your child’s behavior as communication—and learning how to respond in ways that build trust, calm, and cooperation.

Ultimately, my goal is to help you help your child—whether they’re struggling with big feelings, anxiety, or the everyday challenges of growing up.

Therapy with me is part conversation, part insight, part action. I believe it should feel like a mix of relief and direction—a space where you can exhale, be honest, and learn what’s actually helpful.

 

My style blends warmth with practicality: we’ll talk about what’s hard, but also focus on tools you can use in everyday life. I draw from EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, and parent coaching principles to support both your growth and your relationships at home.
